
Joe Warson
Producer/Director
Born in Nashville, Tenneseee, raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, Joe went on to graduate from U.C. Santa Barbara with a degree in film. In the following years, Joe moved to New York, where he worked his way into the art department. Gaining experience as a prop, carpenter, and set dresser on commercials and music videos, Joe was given the opportunity to production design an ABC feature, entitled About Us: The Dignity of Children. From there, he went on to production design numerous feature films (The Farmhouse, Row Your Boat, The Dogwalker), as well as commercials and music videos (Foo Fighters, Sevendust, MXPX) from Argentina to Montana.
Joes first documentary attempt came in 1996, when he directed and produced a short entitled Makin a Name. The film followed two small school football players in Tennessee, during their senior year, as they vied for a chance to play in the NFL.
Joe has been working in Los Angeles for the past 5 years, finishing his second season designing on the Sci-Fi show Scare Tactics. Outside of production design, Joe has written many feature scripts, one (Nuke) purchased by Escape Artists, and another presently being optioned. |
